For Tarryn and Lesley’s portrait session I selected the Cape Town docks as the mix of industrial props and rough textures are always intriguing backdrops for photographs. We met at 4:30pm which seemed to coincide with the end of shift for everyone working in the docks. After a few minutes there was a large crowd of spectators all giving their creative input. This didn’t seem to bother the couple but after taking a few shots at the well populated spot we decided to move onto a quieter location.

Tarryn and Lesley looked really fresh in their matching white t-shirts and blue jeans, creating the perfect contrast to the dirty browns of the harbour surroundings. I had lots of fun photographing them as they were keen to try lots of different poses, including Lesley jumping between train carriages.

Thank you Tarryn and Lesley, even though you are not engaged yet, fingers crossed that one day I may take your wedding photos : )
