Every day, billions of new photos are uploaded to the internet. We live in an age where the majority of the population has access to a camera. But despite this, there remains a tangible difference between amateur photos and photos from a photographer who is adept at their craft.
The word photography has its roots in the Greek words ‘phÅton’ meaning light and ‘graphein’ that is to carve or engrave. What I’ve always loved about photography and the reason that started me on this path was seeing the world’s greatest photographers use light to literally carve out a story in each and every photo. Light is an essential, almost magical ingredient to bring a photo to life.
This led me on a journey spanning many years studying light and understanding how to use it to capture a perfect moment in time. With this understanding I could begin shaping and carving out a signature style comprising soft, muted tones with warm, romantic lighting that now defines my work.
I believe that a photographer’s job is far more than framing a good shot, it is about creating memorable moments to photograph. This means ensuring you feel comfortable, having the shoot in a beautiful or interesting location, making it fun, and bringing out the best in you so that I can capture it in a still frame for you to remember, forever.
Hiring me as your photographer means you are assured of an all round professional experience and consistent, quality results. The difference really is light and day.
