I met Yolonda and Nigel only a couple of days before their wedding day but immediately I felt like I had known them for years. The couple have recently moved to Johannesburg but decided to return to Cape Town to get married.

Yolonda and Nigel were married at St Faiths Anglican Church in Plumbstead after which we moved onto The Boma Room at Rondevlei for the reception.

Before the reception started I spent some time with the newly weds walking around the Rondevlei Nature Reserve and stopping at view points to take photos (luckily we didn’t come across any of the Hippos that live in the reserve).

As the sun set the trees were lit with fairy lights and candles lit the footpaths creating a truly magical atmosphere.  Guests enjoyed a perfect evening of good food, music and great company.

Yolonda and Nigel, thank you for choosing me to capture your special day. I wish you all the happiness in your life together. Enjoy the preview.

A big thank you to Claire from Framed by Claire Clarke for assisting me on this shoot.
