Martie and Peet opted for a wedding adventure and traveled to Italy to get married. I had hoped that they could squeeze me into their suitcase so I could take the photographs over there but it turned out my camera equipment was too heavy, haha. (Actually they had already found an Italian photographer).

They arrived back in Cape Town a couple of weeks later and held a reception so that they could celebrate their marriage with family and friends. The reception was held at La Masseria, an intimate and cosy Italian restaurant that was the perfect venue on a chilly winter’s evening.

It was a fresh change from the traditional wedding reception as Martie & Peet had ample time to enjoy the company of their guests unlike many other wedding where it is a rush to get through all the formalities.

Thanks you Martie and Peet for choosing me to capture your special day. Hope you enjoy the photos!
