Love is a splendid thing, but often it can choose the funniest times to announce itself. For Lauren and Pieter, this was definitely the case. (Please forgive any technical time related inaccuracies in this story) On the eve of Pieter’s relocation for a new job, he attended a friend’s 21st birthday party where he first glimpsed the beautiful Lauren. They immediately started chatting and knew they were meant for each other. Now imagine having to leave for a new place after meeting the lady of your dreams and vice versa. A very tough pill to swallow. However true love stretches great distances and while Pieter was separated by physical space from Lauren, their hearts grew fonder and closer together. and he returned some months later to propose and settle in Cape Town permanently.
